A group of 32 current and past Mayors went ready to “rock out” to the musical “Bat out of Hell” at the New Wimbledon Theatre. The visit was made all the more poignant after the death of Meat Loaf a few days beforehand.

Reception drinks and nibbles were provided in the private Studio Space overseen by the theatre’s delightful manager. The LMA presented him with a small gift to thank him for his warm hospitality.

Members,some of whom had never been to the theatre, were impressed with the beautiful theatre which has been an iconic landmark in Wimbledon town centre since its opening in 1910.
