LMA members had a wonderful VIP day at the London New Year’s Day Parade this year. Current mayors were treated to an exclusive breakfast and then took to the traditional “Mayors’ Double Decker” . It was especially wonderful to see LMA president Cllr Hamza Taouzzale, chairman, Steve Summers and past chairwoman, Clare Whelan, OBE arriving in the carriages. The crowds were immense and everyone loved seeing the individual parade entries from the London boroughs as they passed by. Everyone had a fantastic time and agreed that the Parade is one of the highlights of the London year.
